Brushing Solution for Automotive

Examples of applications in Automotive are removing dust before painting the body work, sealing gaps for aesthetic reasons, de-rusting and smoothing body works, transporting car components and many more. If you need help solving your problem, please contact our sales team.

Antistatic and Ostrich-Feather-Brushes

The removal of dust and electrostatic charges - we lead the way. Rotary ostrich-feather roller brushes remove dust from workpiece surfaces in accordance with a simple and reliable principle.

We offer antistatic brushes with carbon fibre or stainless steel yarn. An independent test proved that Kullen-Koti antistatic brushes are the best among other things in conductivity and dimensional stability.

Belt Brushes

For this brush type we use standardised vee-belt profiles, made of polyester elastomers and immune to moisture, oil and grease as well as resistant to numerous chemicals. Therefore an application is possible in a temperature range from -15°C to +80°C.

Circular and Roller Brushes

Circular brushes are defined as brushes with a body length of up to 100 mm. The comprehensive range of dimensions, core materials, fill materials and fill configurations demonstrate the versability of Kullen-Koti again and again.

Roller brushes Type 421 without a sub-body are defined as having a body length longer than 100 mm (for brushes shorter than 100 mm, see "Circular brushes"). The comprehensive range of dimensions, core materials, fill materials and fill configurations demonstrate the versability of Kullen-Koti again and again.

Roller brushes Type 422 with sub-bodies e. g. tubular cores with journals are defined as having a body length longer than 100 mm (for brushes shorter than 100 mm, see "Circular brushes").The brush cores are mounted on steel or aluminium shafts for strenth and rigidity.

ST-System

The brush cores are made of special reinforced polypropylene making them light, resistant to acids and alkalis and suitable for use in the food industry. The range of dimensions is extensive. All in all we offer seven standard core diameters with three fill density variations each: low, medium, and high - making a total of twenty-one standard cores to choose from.

The ST-system above all is suitable for roller brushes fitted to a shaft or tubular core with journals made of steel or stainless steel (1.4301; 1.4541).

Strip and Sealing Brushes

Kullen-Koti strip brushes with metal backing tape have a big advantage over other brush constructions with rigid plastic bodies. This is because they can be formed to ring brushes with a diameter of 12 mm and with a bore of 5 mm up to the biggest diameter of 2.000 mm with an inward diameter of 1.000 mm.

As you are able to receive the strip brush with the fill facing outwards, it is no problem for Kullen-Koti to produce the same brushes with the fill facing inwards. Even with these brushes you have a dimensional range that cannot be reached with any other brush construction.

The strip brushes in cup form are also an all-purpose brush type.

The bristles of strip brushes are fitted in a metal backing tape. This allows the brushes to be mounted by means of holders or inserted into grooves. For example, as replacements for special circular and roller brushes.

Our special types consist of 10 types of strip brushes with metal backing widths from 1,8 mm to 13,5 mm, which we can produce in a large range of variations.

Disc Brushes

Kullen-Koti disc brushes can be supplied with various fill configurations. For example with compressed face, with narrow or large fill collars, with fill array in particular forms, either with normal vertical bristle bundles or with inclined bundles to all directions.

We carry a range of standard moulded plastic cores with special bores resp. threads, which can be produced in large numbers.

Kullen-Koti has a large range of moulded brush discs. These are used for various applications, namely, de-burring. For this, brush discs with nylon abrasive filling or wire are mainly used. The abrasive filling removes burrs that occur during production processes.

Roller Brushes with Metal Backing Tape

A further variation of the "Throw-Away" system is type 230. It consists of continuously wound DBS-spiral brushes fitted to a thin walled steel, stainless steel or non-ferrous metal tubular shaft.

Our roller brush coil designed as welded package system will also pack the tiger in your tank! Why is it reasonable and advantageous to purchase a welded package system type 231?

The DBS-Spiral roller brushes types 220 & 221 are extremely flexible in their dimension and depending on the required performance these endless spiral brush coils are mounted on core systems made of mild steel, stainless steel or non-ferrous metal.

Back in 1931 the history of an inimitable brush began: Kullen-Koti was already the patentee for this spiral brush with a double-sheet backing tape.

Type 964 is made of single section brushes mounted together on a core up to the required face width. This roller brush type can be mounted on cores made from stainless steel, plastic coated steel or mild steel.

Hand Scratch Brushes

Scratch Brushes

Scratch brushes with wooden cores are available in different working widths (number of rows). Scratch Brushes help to clean, remove rust, descale and fettle.

SSHB-Scratch Brushes

SSHB-Scratch Brushes have a small work surface. This brush is especially ideal for working on dents in fluted surfaces. Scratch Brushes help to clean, remove rust, descale and fettle.

Spark Plug Brushes

Park plug brushes ensure that the sparks stay bright. They clean electrical contacts, especially on sparkplugs.

File Cleaners

File cleaners are produced from wooden cores and carding band.

Interior, Tube Cleaning and Alphahon Brushes

Interior Brushes

Interior brushes are suitable for drilling machines, flexible cables and machining centers and are reliable tools for the deburring of O-ring grooves and bores. Furthermore they are used for cleaning, smoothing and derusting purposes.

Alphahon Brushes

Alphahon brushes are elastic, flexible brushing tools. At the bristle tips they hold globules made from bonded abrasives. This special construction enables the tools to deburr cross-holes and also to improve adherence of lubricants.

End, Cup and Bevel Brushes

Cup Brushes

Cup brushes with or without shaft are allround brushes used in angle grinders and machining centers for removal of varnish layers, scales and corrosion; also ideal for the treatment of welds and paling-board cleaning.

End Brushes

End brushes are normally used in electrical- and pneumatic tools, i. e. in the car body and motor construction and all fields of car repair and maintenance.

Bevel Brushes

Bevel brushes are a great mixture of cup- and circular brushes which were developed by us especially to work edges and corners in hardly accessible operation areas.

Circular, Single-Section and Pipeline Brushes

Circular Brushes

The RECORD with crimped wire fill is suitable for deburring, cleaning, smoothing, polishing, dulling, paint stripping and roughing. The twist-knotted ULTRA for treatment of welding seams, descaling and removal of varnish.

Single-Section Brushes

The whole energy of the treatment on a few milimeters. Single-section brushes from Kullen-Koti are ideal for that. Being narrow, aggressive, robust and most versatile, small work pieces can exactly be treated and profiled surfaces be cleaned, derusted and matted.

SH-Circular Brushes

When it comes to the highest possible density fill Kullen-Koti's SH-circular brushes are unbeatable. They are most versatile due to a multitude of fill material qualities and different bore diameters make them applicable in different working widths. They are especially suitable for roughening and deburring as well as to remove rust and paint.
